REVIEW

Let me start by saying Nyla packed a huge punch into this novella. It was super intense on the emotions which I LOVED. Jesse's POV had me feeling ALL the feels. I wanted to cry multiple times before I even hit 50% due to how strongly the emotions were coming through. This definitely enhanced the reading experience as a whole but also had me super invested in the forbidden aspect of things.

Nyla's writing continues to improve with each successive book and that's really saying something for me since I always love her books. I usually rate them between a 4 and 5 anyway. This novella was a page turner I couldn't help but devour from the beginning.

I was obsessed with the taboo aspect. 35 year old man. His 18 year old openly gay ward. There's a lot of little details, but I'll keep them hush, because spoilers suck. As with all of Nyla's books the minute details need to be experienced for yourself to catch the full effect of the storyline. But good lord. This one was entertaining and VERY HIGH HEAT. The tabboo/age gap was absolutely delish, although the daddy kink isn't usually my thing it totally worked in this novella.

In summary: I melted. My kindle melted. Everything melted. I am a puddle of goo. Jesse and James 🤤 I can't wait to read the rest of the novellas in this anthology.
