I am completely obsessed with the trope where the main character falls for the straight best friend and this book did not disappoint in that regard. Tripp is so in love with Dex, and everyone can see it except Dex. Tripp and Dex became fast favorites of mine when they were introduced in Egotistical Puckboy. Honestly, some of the scenes in this book were a little bit hard to read because the emotions were so tangible. I felt how much Tripp's love for Dex was hurting him since his love was not returned.

This book starts where Tripp has decided to distance himself from Dex to try to make his life a little easier. The Queer Collective jumps in to try to help him succeed. But of course, Dex is clueless and makes their efforts difficult to say the least. All Dex knows is he wants to be around his best friend and favorite person. Poor sweet, himbo Dex. There's a reason for this desire to always be with Tripp, but alas he just does not get it. He is absolutely, 100% clueless and I think I loved him more for it. Dex was written in a way that I couldn’t help but love him. And Tripp... Tripp just loves Dex so much and will stand by him no matter what. Even if he sacrifices himself a bit in the process. Their love for each other is selfless.

Now, what transpires in Irresponsible Puckboy can only be described as one unexpected adventure after another. There’s a secret trope here that takes Dex and Tripp on a journey towards happily ever after. It's a bit rocky, but a whole hockey arena full of steam. Another must read by Saxon and Eden for sure.

I loved the banter, the steam, and the pure ridiculousness of certain aspects of the book. I seriously need the audio of these men. I can't wait to hear the airhead moments acted out. Goodness. Pure gold. And as to be expected there are more cameos and name drops of other characters in the worlds Saxon and Eden have created. It’s so much fun. I felt like I knew these people. It bears repeating that the Queer Collective is my fave. Gimme more!

Irresponsible Puckboy worked in such a way that proves to me Eden and Saxon are so talented. It takes true brainpower to write someone as lost as Dex. I'm for sure a diehard fan. I will always read their words. Both co-writes and solo.
