When she begged me to stay, I did what a good priest would do, and I said yes.
But a good priest wouldn’t spend his days thinking about the fullness of her ruby red lips or feel the sting of envy with the way she draws men to her like flies to honey.
A good priest would have stopped things before that first touch. And he certainly wouldn’t have given into temptation so easily, but when Cadence Thorn walked in, she brought me to my knees.
A good priest takes his vows seriously. But I am not a good priest.
Lord, help me...
Beautiful Sinner is, at its core, a love story. Yes, its premise is taboo, but that in no way detracts from the core of it. In my opinion, it enhanced it because they faced struggles that were unique to their situation. Not only are they facing a large age gap, but he’s a catholic priest with a lifelong vow to serve God. As their platonic relationship develops, Callum struggles with his vows and whether he can keep them or not. As Credence develops more feelings for him, she finds herself unwilling to stay away.
When Credence & Callum finally give into temptation, it’s explosive. They throw the restraint they had for so long out the window and their lives are forever changed. Unfortunately, they still have a bumpy road to travel before they’re able to get their happy ending. The personal growth that they both experienced was wonderful to see. They both had a lot of self reflecting to do to get to the best version of themselves.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommend you give it a read.
