REVIEW
I’m ashamed to say that aside from Reforming Kent, Adoring Keaton is the only other book I’ve read in the Kennedy Boys series. I had AK borrowed through Kindle Unlimited when I received the RK ARC so I took advantage and read that one first. Boy am I happy I did! Adoring Keaton provided a good baseline to the family and gave me first hand experience of some of what caused the animosity between Kent and his family.
This book. These characters. I just can’t get over the pain they experienced. When Presley and Kent met, it was instant attraction, but Presley resisted his charms. Unfortunately for Kent, his reputation as a man whore didn’t help his case. Realizing she was different from all the women in his past, Kent was willing to put in the extra effort. Once she agreed to give him a chance, the pieces fell together. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t have an easy ride. I can’t go into any further detail about the book because it would be a spoiler and you’re best going in blind.
If only love was enough. The darkness that they both need to wade through is immense. There are potential triggers, but I can’t tell you what they are because it’ll spoil the story for you. As with all the Siobhan Davis books I’ve read, this one was so good. The emotions felt so raw and real, which is all you can hope for in a book like this. I would say it falls a little on the dark side because of the subject matter, but it still remained a great love story. I loved this book and think you should give it a read too. I fell in love with the Kennedy family and will be reading the other books in this series.
