This is hands down my favorite book. Ever. Nyla K ripped her heart out of her chest, and allowed it to bleed out into this book. And she took mine with it. She gave it back, but I'll forever have the marks of To Burn In Brutal Rapture on my heart. Just wow. I am speechless at the depth of the entire storyline. There's just so much I want to say, but I can't even fully process or wrap my head around everything I just experienced. I experienced this book on a visceral level. I know, I know. I've said that before, but this time... This time I can say no other book has touched me as deeply as TBIBR. Tracien Wright and Lazarus Weston. Their story is special.

After jotting down those initial thoughts above, I stepped away from this review for a solid 18 hours or so. I needed more time to process. I still need more time to process. Let me tell you I don't know which way is up right now. To Burn In Brutal Rapture has me all twisted up. This book lingers in the best possible way.

TBIBR is such a unique book. I went on such an emotional roller coaster reading this book. Heart wrenching and sizzling. If it's an emotion I felt it reading this book. Nyla K tests boundaries and examines forbidden/taboo subjects. I enjoyed this immensely, because everything isn't always black and white or right and wrong. All these hours later and I can't get Lazarus and Tracien's story off my mind. I feel like they're now permanently embedded into my mind and heart.

Heed Nyla's warnings for this book. Read the foreword. If you have any potential triggers and still dive into this book be prepared for anything. Don't read any spoilers, and keep an open mind. Very important. Going into this blind will make every scene that much more vivid. The author's note at the end is another must read. I have so much love for this real, raw story. Nyla took a risk and put her heart out there. I am so thankful for it. MY. ALL. TIME. FAVORITE.
