Twisted Love follows Ben and Daisy. They have been best friends for close to ten years. They became close in college after Daisy's twin sister left town. These two end up with similar work issues which cause them to reach out and ask the other to be their pretend significant other. Ben asks Daisy first, and she is against it until she too unfortunately encounters a similar roadblock through work. It’s expected that they are to appear more stable and steady by being in a committed relationship. In theory this will prove they have someone to lean on and support them. 

Ben and Daisy try to keep things as easy and platonic as possible, but their chemistry begins to ignite pretty quickly. We see Daisy struggling with some buried feelings. She would rather deny herself the temptation of Ben than potentially ruin or complicate their friendship. They value each other more than anything.

The spark of chemistry turns into an inferno. Beware of super hot sex scenes. Ben is this buttoned-up, straight-laced business man, but he’s also deliciously dirty. Daisy is thrilled to discover his dirty side. There’s some back and forth between them regarding whether they want to pursue a real relationship instead of just fake. In the midst of all this, both of their jobs have become more complicated.

Both Ben and Daisy reach a critical point with their jobs, and then a bombshell is revealed that just may wreck any relationship frame work they were laying down. Could this be the deal breaker of not just their fledgling relationship, but also the friendship they both value?

Twisted Love was an entertaining read. I would’ve enjoyed a bit more angst, but that preference didn’t detract from my overall rating. There was believable dialogue, and witty, humorous banter. Heat that continued to build between the characters, but also a palpable emotional connection. This friends-to-lovers romance had a satsifying happily ever after. I rate Twisted Love a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
