Being rich is great until you become the saint of Arcadia.

Gentleman.

Charmer.

All-star.

They call me a saint, but if they knew the lies, the fallacies,

and what truths I hide, I’d be labeled a proclaimed sinner.

I lie, do all the bad deeds, especially if it does right by her.

She’s the darkness but also the light.

He’s my downfall but also my redemption.

Two opposites, but somehow everything I’ve fought for.

Earning her, saving him, it’s all I can think of.

Saint or sinner, I’ll win her.

Death or life, I’ll protect him.

Truth or lie, I’ll save them.

Arcadia isn’t prepared for the war its wrought.

Good thing I’m a fighter.

No one said I’d bow down to an unworthy king.

Review

Picking up right where Corpse left off, the action in Saint hits the ground running. There’s so much happening that I found myself highlighting crazy amounts of the book to help keep track of all the little pieces of information that are continually being dropped. We’re slowly starting to see more of the web, while also realizing that it’s a much larger web than you thought. There were so many twists & turns that what you don’t know severely outweighs what you do know. There are also several new characters introduced that simultaneously answer some questions while creating new ones.

I like how the focus of the book shifted a bit to focus on Jordan, Lennox & Colt. While all the guys were present and we still got multiple POVs, these three seemed to take the spotlight this book. I absolutely love multiple POV books because of all the extra insight you gain into the inner thoughts of all the main characters. There also little Cassidy nuggets thrown in that added so much to the story. I didn’t find this book as dark as Corpse, but there’s definitely darker themes throughout.

This book has TONS of steam starting almost right off the bat. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, in the best way possible of course. It does feature MM scenes, so if that’s not your thing, then this might not be the book for you.

Saint absolutely ends in a cliffhanger, so prepare yourself. I’m so ready for Here Loves a Sociopath that I don’t know how I’ll manage to wait until March.

Author Bio

C.L. Matthews lives in lala-landia with her husband and invisible friends. She wants to riot the lack thereof authentic Mexican food in her state, but she’s an introvert at heart. She enjoys tacos, Red Bull, and warm water because she’s crazy. She’s an oddball, and realizes it’s been mentioned before, just go with it. Her joys in life consist of writing unconventional romances, making book covers, causing havoc to her reader’s hearts, and genre-hopping when she needs a change of scenery. She’s a special kind of weird and enjoys every moment of it.
