Review

Kian’s Focus takes us back to Brigs Ferry Bay and all the wonderful characters we first met and fell in love with in Sheriff’s Secret. I’m a huge fan of interconnected book so this one was right up my alley. I had high hopes for this book because of how much I loved Sheriff’s Secret and I must say it lived up to my expectations. While you don’t have to read book 1 of the series to enjoy Kian’s Focus, I strongly recommend that you do because things that happen in the first book are referenced. 

I really enjoyed learning Kian’s side of what happened with him and Jax back in high school plus his opinion on Jax and Dante’s budding relationship. It was nice to see both sides of the story. While we got to see more of the gang from SS, we also got to know some new characters including Archer, his sister and her children. 

Due to Archer and his sister’s past, Kian’s Focus was an emotional read. It dealt with a lot of serious topics including the death of a partner and mental health issues while still managing to include comedic relief and a beautiful love story that both Kian & Archer had to fight for. Nothing comes easy in this book. 

It wasn’t as fast of a burn as SS was, but it felt appropriate for Kian & Archer. 

I’m impatiently awaiting the next installment of the series and cannot wait to see what the next book will bring.
