East Bound is book 2 in the Hear No Evil Trilogy by Nana Malone. Book 1, East End, left off with East following Nyla and discovering a room that shows she has betrayed him and his friends. East Bound picks up where East is reeling after his "discovery". He's furious after he trusted her and let her into his inner circle. He even introduced her to some of the London Lords. Nyla, on the other hand is blindsided by the cold shoulder she gets from East. She has no clue why he cut her off so abruptly.

In East Bound we get to see East and Nyla at their most vulnerable points thus far. They're both kind of wallowing in their vulnerabilities and how the other has hurt them. These two are very strong, independent characters. It was nice to see the contrast. Not every person is strong 100% of the time. They've both discovered their feelings for the other weaken them a little. And that's okay. It takes them time to come to terms with it. Neither one knows how to handle their feelings or emotions. They're both so hurt.

Even amidst the chaos of their conflict they can't resist each other. They're drawn to each other like magnets. Once we get a bit deeper into the story their inner fire starts to come back out. With a vengeance. I love how feisty they both are.

Nana delves deeper into the mystery of Theroux and what he wants from our characters. There is so much going on and the cast of characters have come together to sort things out. What a roller coaster of events and intrigue. There was never a dull moment. And let me just say... Holy hotness, Nana! Good lord! East and Nyla set me on fire! These two have such steamy chemistry. Their scenes just about melted my Kindle right out of my hands.

This book ended in a heck of a cliffhanger. I gasped out loud and screamed! I can't wait to see what comes after this final scene. Goodness gracious. Cliffhangers are so bittersweet. East and Nyla's story will end in the third Hear No Evil book. If you love strong characters, mystery, and steamy love scenes this book is definitely for you!
