Everlast by Alex Grayson
BOOK BLURB
From USA Today Bestselling Author, Alex Grayson, comes an emotionally captivating love story that rivals time....
Lincoln was my once in a lifetime, my destiny.
I was his happily ever after, his kismet.
I met him when I was eight, and he saved me from the bullies on the school playground.
The next day, he called me his girl.
When we were thirteen, we began to look at each other differently.
At fourteen, we shared our first kiss.
We were sixteen the first time we made love and promised we’d always be together.
The night before we graduated high-school, he asked me to marry him, and the day before we left for college, I became his wife.
Our first child came when we were just twenty-three. And our second, five years later.
Our future was forevermore written in the stars. We had that indescribable kind of love everyone searches for, but rarely ever find. A love so strong, one lifetime wouldn’t be enough.
His soul was my mate, and mine was his.
Our life was perfect. Until it wasn’t.
Fate brought us together... would it dare tear us apart?
NOTE: This is the second book in the Ever Series. Forevermore should be read BEFORE you read Everlast. It is novella length and is available for free on all retailers.
REVIEW
I get it now. Forevermore as a prequel is a necessity. It truly enhances the timeless love story of Lincoln and Molly. Honestly, at first I struggled so hard to get into this book. I was a little scared off by the foreword about it possibly not being considered a romance. I kept wondering where in the world Molly and Lincoln’s story was going. I thought I had an idea based on some early scenes, but I was so wrong.
About a quarter of the way in and I was truly hooked. Every book has a journey the characters must take and/or an obstacle to overcome. Lincoln and Molly’s love story, journey, and obstacle was so unique and different. Their love story transcends all things.
I loved this beautifully poignant, painful love story. The prequel gave a tiny glimpse at their lives, but Everlast fully delved down deep. Deeper than I expected. It’s not a conventional romance per se, but I love how the prequel set a strong foundation for where Molly and Lincoln’s journey was going. This book was so heavy. I honestly had to set it down and step away quite a few times.
I loved Everlast, but beware it is a heavy story. At the same time, their love story gave me hope. Soulmates exist. And Molly and Lincoln are proof.
