He's the hot, tatted owner of Bird's Eye and of course an artist. He's also a man of few words. His best friend Will, short for Willette, manages the shop. The book begins in the shop and Will reminds Hawk of an interview they have coming up for a front desk receptionist. Drew is interviewing for the receptionist position. She's a recently divorced single mom to 8-year-old Ava.

Review

I was super excited to jump into Shattered Dreams and read it in less than 24 hours. While I was very entertained by the storyline I found that it needed more character development and dialogue. I felt like I was missing how the relationships and friendships developed because the book was mostly the internal thoughts of Phoenix, Logan and Stryker. 

Typically I can guess who’s going to end up in the harem, but I found myself unsure of who would make it in. I had some assumptions, but based on how little a few of the characters were mentioned, I’m rethinking things. 

Considering how the blurb is written, I’m assuming Logan is going to be in Phoenix’s harem, but I REALLY dislike him for what he’s done throughout this book. I’m not sure how he can possibly redeem himself in the next book. 

All in all, I am looking forward to Irrevocably Damaged because I need to know what happens next.

I loved how Hold the Forevers began. With Lila’s wedding and her mystery groom. The wedding is interrupted, and then strap in, because K.A. Linde takes you on such a journey. This book follows Lila's life and relationships individually with Ash and Cole. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I didn’t expect to love both male characters as much as I did. Ash is her high school sweetheart and first love. Cole is her college love. Both of these boys were so special in their own unique ways. I totally get why Lila was so torn.

I get it now. Forevermore as a prequel is a necessity. It truly enhances the timeless love story of Lincoln and Molly. Honestly, at first I struggled so hard to get into this book. I was a little scared off by the foreword about it possibly not being considered a romance. I kept wondering where in the world Molly and Lincoln’s story was going. I thought I had an idea based on some early scenes, but I was so wrong.

I was captivated by Rhys and Maggie. A.L.’s writing is so magnetic. There’s a poetic quality to her stories that just holds me spellbound. And Rhys! He has the biggest heart. He's always shown his love and happiness, but the true depth of his feelings are masked by his loud, boisterous, happy-go-lucky personality. A.L. somehow manages to make each hero better than the last, just when you think it's not possible.

I love the aspect of mystery weaved into A.L.'s books. There's a puzzle that needs to be pieced together in each book. It's so much fun trying to put the pieces together. In Beneath the Stars Rhys’s past is shrouded in secrets, and we learn Maggie is also hiding something. I was constantly wondering and trying to guess if I had figured out which way the story is going. 

Just so you guys know I was wrong about most of my suspicions! So wrong!

What an ending! I’ve loved every EM Moore book I’ve read, and this one was no exception. So much happens in the finale of the Saint Clary’s University series that I can’t tell you about because SPOILERS! But be prepared for a wild and painful ride. Keep in mind this is a series and you MUST read books 1 & 2 before you can read this one. 

If you’ve read the other two books in the series, then you know what a cliffhanger This Fearless Girl ended in. You’ll be happy to hear that you don’t have to wait much longer to get ALL the details on the secret Cole had to share with Dakota. I was SHOCKED!

There were lots of highs and lots of lows in this book. And, if I’m being honest, a few EXTREMELY low moments. Wyatt, Stone, Lucas and Dakota had to fight tooth and nail for their happy ending, but it made me appreciate their ending even more because they deserved it. The friendship between the guys was awesome and it made some of the steamier scenes even steamier. 

If you’re a fan of reverse harems, then this is a must read series! This book does get a bit darker than the others, but I wouldn’t classify it as a dark romance book. As I’ve said before, I loved the uniqueness of the treasure hunt aspect of this series that made it stand out in a sea of similar books. Definitely give this series a shot if you’re on the fence. You won’t regret it.
